A Little About Us…. Southern Motorsports Promotions was founded in May 2005 by Joe Wamble and David Holbrook.  The whole idea behind Southern Motorsports is to broaden the horizons of the tractor and truck pulling world…. to showcase the pullers themselves, their equipment, their hard work, their dedication, and…. their determination to go a little farther, a little faster. Joe, now a safety instructor for electric utilities throughout the state of Tennessee, previously worked for 15 years as a lineman for Gibson Electric Co-Op.  David specializes in custom metal fabrication, as well as farm machinery and automobile repair.  Both Joe and David, though from different backgrounds, share a love for tractor and truck pulling.  They also share a long time dream…. to have the opportunity to host a great indoor tractor and truck pull in the south.   In June 2005, representatives and board members from Middle Tennessee State University's “Tennessee Miller Coliseum” approved Southern Motorsports' proposal and thus have graciously welcomed the first “Southern Invitational Indoor Tractor and Truck Pull” to Murfreesboro, Tennessee, one of the country's fastest growing towns located just south of Nashville.  The Coliseum is a beautiful facility with amenities ranging from on-site utilities for recreational vehicles to an indoor parking and staging area.  The dates for the two-day event are set for January 11th and 12th, 2008. Southern Motorsports hopes to bring new life and excitement to tractor and truck pulling in the south.  We invite everyone to take part in the journey…….  from fellow pullers, to vendors, to fans, both old and new.  This is a wonderful opportunity, in a great facility, in a great town….
